The New Business Reality

Today's business climate has changed dramatically from what it was just a few years ago.  Shrinking budgets, tighter profit margins and smaller staff sizes make every market more competitive.  At the same time, companies must turn a profit in order to stay alive.  This program will address the challenges that individuals and companies encounter when faced with The New Business Reality of being asked to do more, better, faster and with fewer resources.  Participants will begin to learn about: presenting themselves to others in more compelling ways; differentiating themselves from competitors, addressing the call and commitment to be a leader, encouraging and motivating others, how to think like their customers and how to develop better questioning and listening skills.

Presenter: Steve Musto
Dale Carnegie Training , Chicago, Illinois

Before joining Dale Carnegie Training in 2001, Steve Musto spent nine years helping not-for-profit organizations develop their staff, infrastructure and fundraising capabilities.  Reared in the Chicago area, Steve is familiar with the ins and outs of doing business in this unique marketplace.   As a Senior Consultant with Dale Carnegie-Chicago, Steve now assists both Fortune 500 and small, family-owned companies in achieving breakthroughs in areas like leadership, sales, human relations and communications.  Steve is a frequent speaker at retreats, banquets, seminars and corporate events.

Networking: 6:30 P.M.

Dinner: 7:00 P.M.

Giving a "Face" and "Voice" to your
Raving Fans to Grow Sales!

We all know that what our CLIENTS say about our work is far more important than anything we say.  That's why nearly all of us have some kind of client endorsement letters or excerpts that we share in marketing materials on paper or on the web.  These endorsements are often a pain to get -- to get RIGHT -- to get QUICKLY -- and they are most often "dead information."  In other words, there is no face or voice to go with the endorsement that can carry the real passion of your Raving Fans to others.  Bill Metcalf will show you one FREE method, and one REALLY CHEAP method (under $50), and one pretty cheap method (under $750) to give your Raving Fans BOTH a face and a voice to help them trumpet your praise, separate you from the competition, and get you business!

Presenter: Bill Metcalf
TechnoShift , Oak Park, Illinois

Bill Metcalf, the Nation's TechnoMotivator(tm), helps people discover new ways to use communication technology by overcoming their fears and engaging their creative thinking.  Bill has made a specialty of showing organizations ways that they can effectively use new communication technology - particularly the Net - to gain a competitive advantage.  He is the President of TechnoShift, Inc. and was recently selected to be the Executive Director of COOL - Cooperative Opportunity for Online Learning - a not-for-profit dedicated to helping young people teach older people how to use technology.  Bill's years on stage as a professional actor make his presentations fun, inventive, and thought provoking. Yet today, he uses more technology than most "techies" he knows.
