Exploring New Opportunities for MSPC

MSPC’s January program will feature presentations by Professor Sandra Kumorowski and students from her Loyola University marketing course who are developing strategic marketing recommendations for MSPC (and other organizations) as part of this semester’s coursework.   The Loyola group will present three topics of importance to consulting practices.  Participants will have an opportunity to interact with the presenters and to share ideas about how MSPC should change as it moves into the next decade.

New Trends & Strategies in Consulting & Entrepreneurship
(How to capitalize on trends & new strategies in consulting)

Presenter Sandra Kumorowski

In order to successfully manage your business, it is essential to follow current and rising trends. The ability to spot a rising trend and plan your strategies accordingly could fundamentally change your future or the future of your client. This lecture will explain the trend phenomenon, update you on the latest trends and their impact on the industry, and provide an overview of strategies and tactics to capitalize on these trends.

Website Management Best Practices
(How to turn your website into a sustainable revenue source)
Presenters Jing Chen & Kevin McCormick

The Internet has completely changed the way we live and run our businesses. Studies show that 97% of people are online.  That means we now have two worlds in which to operate – online & offline. Every business thus should have an offline and online presence. In this lecture, you will not only learn why it is important to have a website but most importantly, how to turn it into a sustainable revenue source using integrated and cost-effective approaches.

The Real Power of Social Media
(How to use social media to get new
clients & learn about their behavior)

Presenters
Kirsten Fedderke & John Wagle

Social Media represent a major cultural shift, a new way how people connect, communicate, and behave. They have enabled the formation of communities that share the same interests and passions as this tribal element is fundamentally embedded in our social behavior. Thus, it is essential for businesses to understand this new behavior and learn from it. This lecture will provide an in-depth, scientific overview of the real power of social media and tactics how to become a part of the conversations gaining trust, reputation, and eventually new clients.
