 Using "Social Networking" Tools
to Increase Your Business

Web 2.0 technologies (blogs, wikis, social networks) have revolutionized Internet experiences for millions of users. People connect, share information, collaborate and buy things on the Web using these technologies. In a study, completed by “MarketingVOX: The Voice of Online Marketing”, the top social media used to promote businesses are: Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn, and Facebook.  How are you and your clients leveraging these technologies for success?  Web 2.0 is the hot topic.  It is on the agendas of most major tradeshows and is covered throughout the media. It is about individual empowerment and it’s just getting started. Enterprise 2.0, for businesses and governments, empowerment translates into new forms of collaboration inside and outside of organizations. It “flattens” organizations as communities are created and united in spite of physical boundaries. Global is made local. Organizations are at different stages of the Web 2.0 adoption curve, but all are looking to answer the questions: How do we move forward? With what do we move forward? How do we measure success?

This session focuses on elements of blogs, Twitter, social media, wikis, internet marketing, and real-time communications that can be assembled into a cohesive and profitable experience for you and your clients.  Benefits include the use of collaboration to: (1) fuel productivity, (2) enhance collective intelligence and (3) improve how people work with people.  You don't have to become a technology expert to learn how to leverage the power of Web 2.0. As a consultant, you can help yourself and your clients become more profitable by using technologies that assist in employee communication, help close important sales and develop business, manage the supply chain, and develop new products more efficiently.  You can use Web 2.0 technologies to prospect for new business and to expand your clients’ abilities to get the right information to the right employees at the right time
