Great and Small Issues of the Day - Reporting in the
Electronic Age
Eric Zorn, columnist for
the Chicago Tribune, will lead a discussion of great as well as
small issues of the day, as they affect life in Chicago, the State
of Illinois, the United States and the world. He will also
share his perspective about the life of a reporter and how it is
affected by and challenged by an ever-evolving electronic age, where
knowledge of local events can be spread across the world in a manner
of seconds.
Presenter:
Eric Zorn
The Chicago Tribune -
Chicago, Illinois
Eric Zorn is a 1980
graduate of the University of Michigan where he was a senior editor
at the Michigan Daily and a creative-writing/English Literature
major. After serving a four-month internship at the Miami
Herald, he came to work at the Chicago Tribune in the summer of
1980.
After five years as a

evolved into the commentary column that bears his name. It runs

tragic rampage of Winnetka schoolhouse killer Laurie Dann.

immediately to raise their business visibility.
Recent Business Challenges
Facilitated by Richard
Aleskow (Aleskow & Associates)
Participants will describe
significant business challenges they have encountered with clients,
prospects, vendors, partners, employees, etc., in the last 2-3 months.
They will then share how they dealt with and overcame these challenges
or look to the group to provide suggestions for resolving these issues.
Communication Methods and
Techniques
Facilitated by Judith Litt
(Judith R. Litt, Ltd.)
Participants will discuss
how they effectively or ineffectively use the various techniques and
technologies that are available for consultants to communicate with
clients, prospects, associates, vendors, etc. They will discuss best practices
