"Intellectual Property for Consultants: Added Value for You and Your Clients", presented by Attorney Julie M. Levy

Topics covered will include such areas as copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, and licensing. This presentation is ideal for consultants interested in identifying, protecting, managing, and ultimately maximizing the value of their intangible assets. Julie M. Levy

Julie M. Levy is the Managing Attorney and Founder of the Law Office of Julie M. Levy, LLC. Ms. Levy concentrates in intellectual property (IP) law with an emphasis on copyrights, trademarks, and unfair competition. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and represents increasing numbers of individuals and businesses looking to identify, develop, protect and manage their IP assets.

Before starting her own practice, Ms. Levy helped to promote DePaul College of Law’s nationally recognized IP law program and was associated with some of Chicago’s finest law firms, including a prestigious IP law boutique where she handled a wide range of IP matters. Ms. Levy graduated from DePaul University College of Law where she completed, with distinction, a rigorous course of study in IP law.

Ms. Levy publishes and lectures on various topics in her field, such as trade dress protection and moral rights protection and has appeared in widely recognized trade publications and law journals, such as the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment Law & Practice. She is also an active member of the following organizations: American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Intellectual Property Law; Chicago Bar Association (CBA), Section of Intellectual Property Law; American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA); Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC); Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) and the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
