"An Evening with the Presidents, Da Mayor and Their Friends"

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 5 pm - 9 pm

East Bank Club 500 N Kingsbury Street Chicago, IL 60610

The Midwest Society of Professional Consultants (MSPC) will hold its annual Gala Holiday Celebration on Wednesday, December 7th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the East Bank Club in downtown Chicago. MSPC is a support group for professional consultants that provides opportunities for members to improve their personal and professional skills, enhance their professional image, increase their exposure through networking and investigate opportunities for referrals and partnering.

MSPC has planned a very special evening with delicious food, beverage and the extraordinary entertainment of "An Evening with the Presidents, Da Mayor and Their Friends", that will leave everyone laughing, smiling, and feeling good about living in Chicagoland and in the United States of America. This event is open to the public and will be a great opportunity for people to meet, dine, connect and have a great time. Come share this special evening with MSPC and get to know some of Chicago's finest business consultants. We encourage you to spread the word about this event to your clients, colleagues and associates as well as to your spouses, significant others, families and friends. We expect this event to sell out and space will be limited so early reservations are strongly recommended!

MSPC's 2005 Gala Holiday Party will feature the timely, topical and extraordinary humor of political satirist/impressionist Bill Mellberg and the ear-pleasing music of pianist Kent Wehman. This talented Chicago-based duo has starred in two, nationally- televised PBS specials and are regular guests on WGN Radio in Chicago. 'The Presidents' have appeared at hundreds of events across the country, and they recently performed in concert at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Michigan. Bill has also provided the entertainment for several White House staff parties, as well as for regimental dinners for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Mellberg's repertoire includes more than 50 characters, from both George Bushes and Richard Daleys to Elvis Presley and Louis Armstrong and from Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mikhail Gorbachev. 'The Presidents' will be bringing us a fun-filled evening of music and laughter with a holiday accent, poking clean, good-natured fun at our leaders and the stories in the news. The program will conclude with a special rendition of Clement Moore's "The Night Before Christmas" as read by a cast of political characters and a short message to leave the audience in a positive mood about America and our free enterprise system.

  • London Broil with bordelaise sauce, oven roasted potatoes
  • Roast chicken breast, asparagus with béarnaise sauce

Bill Mellberg is a political humorist, presidential impersonator, speaker, entertainer, motivator and more. He is also a widely-read aerospace writer and historian, as well as a former jetliner salesman. Mellberg is the author of two popular aerospace books and over 100 articles appearing in publications worldwide. He was a marketing and public relations representative for Fokker Aircraft. His stories have appeared in magazines worldwide, including: Aeroplane, AIR Enthusiast, AIR International, Airliners, Airways, Exxon Air World, Aviation History, RCMP Quarterly, Sky & Telescope, United Airlines' Hemispheres and Wings. He is the author of two popular books, both from Plymouth Press: Famous Airliners (1995) and Moon Missions (1997). The latter is a history of lunar exploration with a Foreword by Apollo 17 Moonwalker, Dr. Harrison H. ("Jack") Schmitt.

Kent Wehman is an accomplished pianist, who adds a musical touch to 'The Presidents'. He adds a touch of class to receptions and dinner hours, with his tasteful background music. Kent is a versatile and accomplished musician who enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the Chicagoland area's most sought after performers. Having studied piano and percussion since he was nine years old, Wehman's training and professional experiences reflect the diversity he offers in his performances. When he is not in performance, Wehman teaches piano in Park Ridge. Kent travels across America with political satirist Bill Mellberg -- playing the piano during receptions and dinner hours, and adding a musical dimension to Bill's performances. The pair has been sharing the stage since 1968 when they first appeared together in a high school variety show.
